Located in upstate New York about 10 minutes from the Canadian border, SLF Collectibles is a partnership started by my fiance and myself at the beginning of 2004.

Initially, we started selling SpecCast diecast collectibles because Andy is an avid collector of First Gear diecast collectibles and that is where we got the idea of first selling on eBay. I have since given that portion of the business to Andy because I got bored with selling 'boy toys' and wanted to sell items that I enjoyed.

I then sold QVC liquidation items for almost a year on eBay, but found that was too much work in that you had to physically sort through all the items purchased to check for flaws, etc.

Finally, I found my niche...primitive and country home decor! I love to decorate my home and my friends used to tell me that it is like walking into a little country shop!

I have just added primitive valances and tiers to my store and it is my hope to expand A Primitive Gift For Her to include a large selection of country curtains as well. I have been told that it isnt such a great idea to sell items that you like or are interested in, but my feeling on this is...if you have a passion for something, why not share it with others. Some women collect shoes...I collect curtains! I like to have several pairs so that I can change the entire look of my room in a small amount of time.
